Katie is an immunologist and infectious diseases clinician. She holds professorial positions at RMIT in Melbourne and the University of Tasmania. Her research involves vaccine immunology studies throughout the human lifespan, focused on early life, pregnancy and old age. She is internationally renowned for her work on sex differences in immunity and off-target effects of vaccination.
