Alumnus from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, I graduated in 2015 from a PhD in Virology conducted at the Institut Pasteur. Since my arrival at the Institut Pasteur in New Caledonia in 2016, I have developed a research axis on virus-host interactions under Dr Dupont-Rouzeyrol’s mentoring, with a focus on dengue virus (DENV) in the Pacific region. I have established collaborations with local health stakeholders (Territorial and Specialized hospitals, health authorities and agencies) and international partners (Institut Pasteur in Paris, in Cambodia) to elucidate the virological and immunological determinants of dengue clinical presentation and epidemiology. I coordinated projects to characterize the human and virological determinants of dengue severe outbreaks and identify the virological determinants of DENV serotypic replacements. Recently, we evaluated the humoral immune response of New Caledonia population to COVID-19 vaccination. I am currently exploring the genetic determinants of Oceanians’ antiviral immune response as well as Oceanians’ humoral immune response to DENV. The study of Oceanians’ health vulnerabilities and the sharing of these research results meet a mission entrusted by New Caledonia government, to the benefit of local populations’ Health.
